Carbon Zero are developing a heat storage technology (ZeoStore). The ZeoStore enables energy to be stored in the form of heat from off-peak electricity, wind turbines or solar sources until it is needed. Energy may be output as heat or as a mix of heat and electricity. This ‘disruptive’ technology will change the way that ‘demand side’ electricity and renewable energy is managed with cost savings for both the commercial and domestic user.

Innovative energy storage systems supplying heat from renewable sources or off-peak electricity on-demand during peak times. The differences between peak/off-peak electricity costs may differ between 30% to 57% [ref] affording significant opportunities for reducing a business’ energy costs.
